Bert Carr III
April 19, 1951 - April 26, 2022
BROOKLYN - Bert Carr III, 71, of Brooklyn, WI, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at his home.
Bert was born April 19, 1951 in Dekalb, IL. He was a 1969 graduate of Stoughton High School. He married his high school sweetheart Jackie Orcutt on July 18, 1970.
Bert was a devoted and loving father to his three children: Seth (Erin) Carr, Sarah (Josh) Fugate and Bert (Lauren) Carr IV. He taught them the value of hard work, love of the Bible, and pure appreciation for all the beautiful creation God gave us.
His grandchildren: Carson, Riley and Liliana, were the light of his life and he made it a goal to not miss a single day of seeing them when they were babies and toddlers, and then made every excuse in the book to stop over to see them as often as he could as they grew up.
Bert will be missed by his surviving family; his brother, Rick (Mary) Carr and sister, Janice (Lester) White; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, all whom he cherished dearly.
He was a master of generosity and loving friends fiercely with all his heart. He would drop anything in a heartbeat to help a friend in need and never asked for anything in return. He was always ready with a cringe-worthy, eye rolling joke for anyone he met. We will always miss his smile, his sincere hugs, his guitar playing and singing, and days in the woods cutting up trees with a winter fire and hot dog picnic.
He is proceeded in death by is parents, Bert (Ruth) Carr Jr.; and his sister, Edna Louise Deets.
We will miss our husband, father, fuzzy grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, "SO MUCH."
There will be an Open House at Josh and Sarahs home, at 134 N. Union Rd. Brooklyn WI. Saturday, May 7, beginning at 11:00 a.m., to visit and support the family. www.wardhurtley.com

Mr. Carr was a resident with us for awhile, and I got to know him as a great guy and a good buddy. My condolences to a fellow Veteran.
