Aug. 26, 1954 – Feb. 3, 2023

MADISON - Brian Levi Krause, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. He was born on Aug. 26, 1954, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Kenneth Krause and Betty Mason. He graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 1972.

Brian joined and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. This career was his true passion for over 12 years. Brian enjoyed being outdoors spending time fishing and camping. He was very social and had an outgoing personality that always made new friends. Brian spent many hours volunteering with his wife, Connie, at the shelter and was very committed to helping others experiencing homelessness.

Brian is survived by two sons, Joel Krause and Kiel Krause; two grandchildren; his mother, Betty Gorsuch; and two siblings, Ken (Vickie) Krause and Matt (Linda) Gorsuch. He was preceded in death by his father; and wife, Connie Larkins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
