Olson, Jeffrey Orthal
LODI – Jeffrey Orthal Olson, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at home.
He was born on December 8, 1945, in Dodgeville, Wis., the son of Julian and Alta Olson. Jeff graduated from Barneveld High School in 1964. He married Martha Novak on August 31, 2002, in Lodi.
Jeff was a salesman for over 40 years selling maintenance, hardware and shop supplies. He is a member of the Barneveld American Legion. Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting, ATVing, camping, watching the Packers and the Badgers and relaxing at home with his cat Squeaks on his lap. He enjoyed watching documentaries, pet shows, WWII shows, western movies, Smithsonian, Discovery, and National Geographic.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Martha; daughters, Tonya Olson and Tammi (Mike) Jansen; stepdaughters, Julie (Michael) Clark and Wendy (Shawn) Buss; five grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey, Clarissa, Robby and Cassidy (Landon); sister, Jennifer (Pete) Liddicoat; brother, James (Pam) Olson; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jon (Julie) and Joel; sister, Jill, and mother of his daughters, Ruth Olson.
Funeral Services will be held at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3099 Smith Road, Poynette, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, with Reverend Sterling Lynk presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 157 S. Main St., Lodi, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
