Joan L. Koepp

November 22, 1947 - August 15, 2025

Joan L. Koepp, age 77, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Madison, Wisc. Born on November 22, 1947, the only child of Frank and Alice (Roberts) Koepp. Joan spent her entire childhood in Evansville, where she attended school from kindergarten through high school. She was a member of Evansville High School Class of 1966.

Later, she moved to Madison, where she lived for the rest of her life. She had a long career with the State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Prior to her retirement, she was recognized for having served for over 50 years. Joan was an avid gardener, growing vegetables and flowers. She was also a cat lover and owned many cats over the years. According to Joan, her last cat, Josh, more or less "adopted" her, after showing up on her doorstep years ago.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved Josh. She was also predeceased by dear Evansville neighbors, Floyd and Laura Clark. Survivors include cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Brooklyn, Wisc. Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home, Evansville, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Dane County Humane Society.
