Blanche Edna Lanier

March 11, 1936 - August 14, 2025

Blanche Edna Twitchell Lanier, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, passed away August 14, 2025, at Canyons' retirement center in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Blanche was born on March 11, 1936, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Minerva and Gerald Twitchell. She spent her first 18 years of life in Mackay, Idaho, where she attended grade school at Alder Creek until sixth grade and rode horses to and from school. transferring to Mackay schools, where she rode the bus instead of a horse, graduating from Mackey High School in 1954.

On December 4, 1954, she married the love of her life Melvin Lanier. They were married 47 years. The life they had was one big adventure, always having her horse with her.

She is preceded in the death by her parents and beloved husband. She is survived by her three children Melvin Scott Lanier (Deb) of Pocatello, Idaho, Gerald Dennis Lanier (Linda) of Jerome, Idaho, Sheri Remming of Kimberly, Idaho.
