Daria B. Miranda

HEYBURN - Daria B. Miranda, was born in La Villa De Fuente, Mexico on June, 11, 1932. She passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024, in Heyburn, Idaho, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her children: Elisa M. Lopez, Fortunato Miranda, Filimon Miranda, Jr., Daria Rodriguez and Isabel Medrano. She also raised her grandson, Jerome Fagaldefeg. Daria has 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one fifth generation great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, daughter, and three brothers.
Daria has lived in Heyburn since 1976 and has had a long history of employment with Ore-Ida and Simplot. She worked as a foster grandparent to kindergarten children at Dworshak Elementary alongside the teacher Claudia Rodriguez for the past 12 years. She worked up until January 11, 2024. Before that she worked five years at Head Start in Burley, ID and worked at the summer school at White Pine Elementary. She enjoyed children and assisted with their studies. She was known as Gramita to her students.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their compassionate care during Daria's final days. Daria's warmth, wisdom, quick wit and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Viewings will be on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM and again one hour before the funeral service. Both viewings will be at Puerta Al Cielo Church located at 601 Elba Avenue, Burley, Idaho. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Puerta Al Cielo Church located at 601 Elba Avenue, Burley, Idaho. Interment will be at the Heyburn Cemetery located at 9th Street, Heyburn, Idaho 83336.
