Gail Lynn Richardson
Feb. 22, 1973 - Oct. 30, 2023
TWIN FALLS - Gail Lynn Richardson passed away October 30, 2023, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Gail was born February 22, 1973, in Buffalo, Wyoming, to Doug and Terry Richardson.
As a child, she participated in numerous theatrical and musical productions. She grew up in Casper, Wyoming, graduating from Kelly Walsh High School in 1991. She attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where she ran cross country and track. Gail transferred to Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in English Education. She also performed in several college theatre productions and had a brief modeling career.
It was at Chadron where she met her husband David Dickerson. When Gail and Dave were in college, they loved to dance and generally caused good trouble with friends who they are still close with today. Gail loved Dave deeply; his practical sense offset her free spirit nicely. They were married May 24, 1997, at the Presbyterian Church in Sutherland, Nebraska. Gail and Dave lived in Casper, Wyoming, and Blackfoot, Idaho, before settling in Twin Falls in 1999.
Gail's teaching career included Mountain View Middle School in Blackfoot, Kimberly High School, Twin Falls High School, and Immanuel Lutheran School. In the midst of her teaching career, she obtained her degree as a Registered Nurse at the College of Southern Idaho receiving awards for being the outstanding nursing student.
Her nursing career included Magic Valley Regional Medical Center, the office of Sara Johnson, MD, Sawtooth Surgery Center, and at the time of her death, she was the School Nurse at Valley School District.
Gail's favorite career began in 2003 with the birth of her son, Hollis, who was followed by her daughter, Nolan in 2006. Gail loved her kids fiercely and would talk about the quirks that she felt made each of them so incredible! She loved that Hollis is so affectionate and Nolan is strong willed and persistent. She felt fortunate that both kids are full of kindness and empathy. She was the biggest advocate of her children and supported all children.
Gail was a lover of all people and life. She was fortunate to be joined in the Richardson house by siblings Joe and Micah. Laughter and fun were always guaranteed when the three were together.
From cheering on her kids to playing a game of pinochle, Gail was sure to bring enthusiasm and a good dose of laughter to all she did. She made the lives of those who were lucky enough to have her in it better, and she will be deeply missed.
Gail is survived by her husband, Dave, her children: Hollis and Nolan of Twin Falls, her parents, Doug and Terry Richardson of Casper, Wyoming, her brother, Joe (Heather) Richardson of Erie, Colorado, her sister, Micah (Rich Miles) Richardson of Laramie, Wyoming, her aunt, Jackie Swigert of Oral, South Dakota, her aunt and uncle, Rita and Kenny Dexter of Kerrville, Texas, and her in-laws, Jim and Patricia Dickerson of Sutherland, Nebraska, nephews: Dillon Richardson and Esher Miles, niece, Jordan Richardson, and cousin, Kelly Plessman of Casper, Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, uncles: Ike Swigert and Delmar Richardson, and cousins: Roger Swigert and Ross Dexter.
A memorial service will be held at Valley High School, 882 Valley Road Hazelton, Idaho, Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Following the service there will a reception/celebration of life at the Stone House, 330 4th Ave. S, Twin Falls.

RIP Gail. I enjoyed your company a few times in the past and you made such an impression on me as a positive light. I was so sad to hear of your passing, but know you are running in mountains above.... still with that light shining.

Gail was such a good and kind person. She was always smiling and always so positive. As a friend of Micah's, I remember how cool I always thought Gail was! (really, ALL the Richardson's are pretty cool). But I loved that she was always nice to us girls even though we were probably really annoying sometimes. I know how much this family will miss Gail and my heart is broken for them.

The first time I remember meeting Gail was when Hollis and Kurtis played on the same football team. She approached me and asked if Kurtis would like to play on Dave´s basketball team. She was so kind and complimentary. It was fun watching our boys grow up together. She and Dave always welcomed Kurtis into their home, and their family! Gail always had a sincere smile and a ready laugh. I appreciated being able to call her about anything. She was a calm and happy person, and I am grateful for her friendship.

I skied with Gail and Kim Fonnesbeck on the country country ski team for Kelly Walsh! We carpooled up to the mountain together. We´d listen to the Beetles. One of them would always bring white bread, and remove the crusts before she ate it! They were a year older than me.... But I remember Gayle was just so funny and sweet!
