Gary Burnham
JEROME - Gary Burnham, 81, of Jerome, passed away September 8, 2023, at his home.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, September 15, 2023, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S. Lincoln Ave., Jerome. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jerome Stake Center, 26 N. Tiger Drive, Jerome. Burial will conclude at the Jerome Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Gary's memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.

Back in the 1960´s Gary and I shared a small rental in Seattle. One day I picked up a young man hitch hiking. He had told me he had just gotten out the army and was homeless and unemployed. Gary and I both volunteered to help him find a job while providing a temporary place to live. Gary had loaned him a car to get around seeking work. One day we came home and this young man´s clothes were gone along with Gary´s car. Gary didn´t report the car stolen but went out looking for it. Gary found the car and the young man. While I was so mad that we had been taken advantage of, I was fit to be tied. Gary offered and continued to help this young man moved forward in his life. Gary demonstrated that he was truly a disciple of Jesus Christ.
