Sharon Skinner Obituary

Sharon Cloann Skinner

June 30, 1937 - November 10, 2021

Our beloved Sharon Cloann Skinner died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after battling cancer. Born in Hutchison Kansas on June 30, 1937, she moved to Twin Falls at the age of six with her parents, George A. and Wilna (Billie) Pooler. On June 30, 1954, she married the love of her life, Warren (Bill) Skinner, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls and remained married for 67 years. They had three loving children: Dawn Everhart, Ric Skinner, and Ann Kight. Their legacy continued as they welcomed four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sharon and Bill's married life brought many adventures living in the western states. They lived in Anaconda, Helena and Missoula, Montana; Price, Utah; Twin Falls, Idaho, and Auburn, California. In 2019 they decided to return home to Twin Falls.

One could always find Sharon keeping busy, especially at her sewing machine or playing bridge. She belonged to the Canyon View Bridge club in Auburn, California and more recently she enjoyed playing with the Twin Falls Duplicate Bridge group. In addition, she was an avid golfer. Sharon's faith gave her comfort. She was a leader for Bible Study Leadership and taught Sunday school for 40 years between the Episcopal Church in Twin Falls and the Anglican Church in Auburn. Her other interests included membership to the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Auburn Symphony League.

Sharon found the most happiness in her sewing room. She thoroughly enjoyed making hundreds of gifts for friends, family, and charity. She loved taking classes and teaching classes related to sewing. She especially cherished sewing with her friends.

We will miss her and keep her close in our hearts. Per Sharon's request, the family will be having a small, private service to honor her. The family would be grateful for any donations made in her name to the Salvation Army or to Hospice Visions in Twin Falls (who made her last days so comfortable).
