Carlos Daniels Obituary

Carlos Andrew Daniels departed this life peacefully at University Hospital Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, OH, on August 10, 2025. Born on October 18, 1954, in Pittsburgh, PA, Carlos was the beloved son of Dorothy Estelle Dungee Daniels and James Andrew Daniels. He was a man of deep compassion and unwavering love, who touched the hearts of all who knew him. Carlos grew up in Farrell PA and graduated from Farrell High School in 1972. His thirst for knowledge led him to California, where he attended Palomar College in San Marcos. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, he shifted his focus to his natural talent for mechanics and graduated as valedictorian from the Denver Automotive and Diesel College, showcasing his unrelenting dedication and skill. Carlos's career journey was marked by his commitment to the transportation industry. He began with Cooper and Jarrett Trucking and later contributed to Penn Power Utility Company. Ultimately, he found his passion in truck driving, completing his training at TDS Truck Driving School in Lake Milton, OH, and traveling the roads until his retirement in December 2021. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Carlos was the President and CEO of Loveland Productions. His greatest passion was his love for others, believing wholeheartedly in embracing everyone regardless of their background, race, sexual orientation or life circumstances. His heart was especially drawn to those who often felt marginalized or unloved. Community was paramount and everything to him. Carlos lived by the principles of love, giving, teaching, and helping others, and he found immense joy in sharing his love for cars and music, whether behind the wheel or sharing a ride with friends. As we reflect on Carlos's life, we are reminded of his deep love for family and friends, a legacy that will continue to inspire others. He was cherished by his companion Tera Kolsky-Daniels along with his children Nicole (Corey Brodie) Smith, Carlos Daniels, Jr. Carla Daniels, Crystal (Lamar) Daniels Leslie, Allante Daniels, Adrian Daniels and bonus son Aubrey Kolsky. Carlos is also survived by his siblings Kenneth (Alfreda) Burkley, Carolyn (Edwin) Daniels Rashad, Monica (Montel) McDonald Staples, and Algie Dent. He also shared a special bond akin to brothers with his cousins William Dungee, Reginald Dungee, James (Mickey) White, Anthony Austin, and Darlene Austin. He will be greatly missed by his thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. As Carlos passed into eternity, he was reunited with his parents, brother James Ardaine Daniels, granddaughters Cylah Daniels, Ciaunah Daniels and niece, Jamina Daniels Callahanall, who preceded him in death. Although he has departed from our sight, the example and lessons he imparted will forever guide those blessed to share in his journey. In this season of reflection, we remember Carlos not just for the life he lived, but for the love he shared and the countless lives he touched. His spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. A public visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 370 Spruce Ave. in Sharon at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life service commencing at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald Campbell as the officiant. After the committal ceremony, Carlos will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery, 600 N Oakland Ave, Sharon, PA, where the community will bid farewell to a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. His warmth, sincerity, and boundless love will forever resonate in the memories we share. As we reflect on his life, let us carry forward Carlos's legacy of love, kindness, and compassion, embracing one another in the spirit he so passionately lived. At this time of intimate need and personal loss, the family of Carlos Andrew Daniels elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements to the J. E. Washington Funeral Services, 1059 Hamilton Ave, Farrell, PA 724.983.1523 Still Trucking From Above By Samuel Barradas I have a warm and friendly feeling as I think of you each day. And I wish we could visit again, but you're many miles away. I've heard you spin many a yarn and even say "you bet" A better person I've become, because one day we had met. The Lord has blessed us with a truck driver, which we have all come to love. God's hand was always watching him and sometimes even driving from above. He travels freely now over heavens rolling hills to its shining sea. He was a special man God made just for you and me. As heaven and earth now divide us, the special memories of you bring us near. The common things of life we shared, laughter and sometimes a heartfelt tear. So, Father in heaven hear my prayer when I think of our beloved one each day. Please protect our husband, father and friend, while he's many, many miles away.
