Louis David Ross Sr.

Youngstown - Louis David Ross, Sr., 83, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away August 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 17, 1941, in Youngstown he was the son of the late Domenic and Dorothy Ross, and stepson of the late Angelo Infante. Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1962 to 1966, stationed in Ansbach, Germany, where he attained the rank of Specialist 4th Class. A skilled tradesman, he was a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #64. Louis was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Western Star No. 21, and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown, where he achieved the 33rd degree. He also served as a deacon at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Louis married Linda B. Hopper, on June 8, 1963, and shared 62 years of marriage. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends, enjoyed bowling-rolling a 300 game-along with golfing, and horse racing. He is survived by his wife, Linda; their children, Linda Ross (Ben), Lori Rager (Chuck), and Louis D. Ross, Jr. (Jennifer); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Dr, Youngstown, OH 44512 . Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The rendering of military honors will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sincere Hospice Care (20265 Emery Road, North Randall, Oh 44128) or Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Dr, Youngstown, OH 44512.
