Nancy Shook Obituary

NILES – Nancy L. Shook, age 83, longtime resident of Fowler, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 1, 2024 at Continuing Health Care in Niles. She was born November 17, 1940 in Huntington, W. Va., the daughter of Max and Eleanor Marie (Koss) Kislig. A graduate of Poland High School, Nancy worked in customer service for many years, and served on the Zoning Board for Fowler Township. She was a member of Fowler United Methodist Church, the Ohio Horsemen's Council, and 4-H. She raised and rode horses and loved all other animals, with a special fondness for goats and Keeshond dogs. Precious memories of Nancy live on with her two sons, Bret (Margaret) of West Farmington and Lance Shook (Alyson) of Westerville; three grandchildren: William, Lyla, and Benjamin Shook; one brother, Norman Kislig (Gloria) of Dana Point, Calif.; and her special friend, Mary Ellen Tatum of Fowler. Preceding her in death are her parents and her granddaughter, Madison Shook. According to her wishes, cremation is taking place. Services will be scheduled at a later date.
