Norma Baumgartner, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at the age of 81, in her cherished hometown of Sebring, Ohio. Born on March 22, 1943, in Alliance, Ohio, Norma lived a life characterized by dedication to family, loyalty to friends, and commitment to her career as a bank teller at Sebring Banks until her retirement.
A proud 1961 graduate of Sebring High School, Norma's contributions extended far beyond her professional career. She was deeply involved in her community and enjoyed various hobbies that brought joy to her life. She cherished her weekly lunches with friends, traveling to Amish Country, and attending southern gospel concerts, which filled her life with music and laughter. Norma was also a devoted member of her card club, where she fostered friendships that spanned decades. She also attended Concord Church in Salem.
Norma held family close to her heart. She is survived by her children Lori (Joel) Miller, Cathy Baumgartner, Steve Baumgartner, and Scott Baumgartner, along with her grandchildren Rebekah (Cathi) Miller, David (Allison) Miller, and Rachel Miller. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Emma, Eli, Keegan, Camden, and Andrew, who brought immense joy to her later years. Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by her Aunt Eileen Tescher and many cousins, as well as her beloved dogs Lexi and Maci, who were unwavering companions in her life.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Baumgartner, and her parents Herbert and Kathleen (Summers) Mercer. She also joins her aunts and uncles in eternal rest.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Brown Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio, on February 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on February 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with Pastor Joyce Reynolds officiating. Norma will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Sebring, Ohio, with burial commencing at 12:15 PM that same day.
