Rachel Olsavsky Obituary

YOUNGSTOWN – Rachel E. Olsavsky, 37, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at her home. Rachel was born December 29, 1986, in Houston, Texas, a daughter of the late Robert Olsavsky and Sharon Brandt-Olsavsky. Rachel moved to the Youngstown area as a child and was a 2005 graduate of Boardman High School. Rachel will be remembered for her beautiful smile, authentic spirit, good taste in music and movies, passion for basketball and politics, as well as how deeply she cared for those closest to her. Her striking beauty, welcoming charisma and ability to hold a great conversation on a variety of topics made it impossible for those to not want to be in her orbit. Above all, she was most proud to be a mother to her son, Jordy. Rachel is survived by her son, Jordy Olsavsky of Poland; her sister, Jessica E. Olsavsky of Pittsburgh; and several extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her companion, Richard "Dick" Price. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
