George McMerrick Obituary
George Curtiss McMerrick, 77, of Aurora, Ore., passed away Monday, June 2, 2008.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Willamette Park on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
George was born on May 5, 1931 in Medford, Ore. From August 1947 thru July 1950 he was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the United States, England and Okinawa with the 343rd Bombing Squadron and 98th Bomb Group. George was a career truck driver, retiring from ABF Freight. He spent 20 years in the Portland, Ore., area and resided in Aurora for the past 34 years.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley M. (Hamlin) McMerrick; sister, Alice Hatch; brother, Robert Look; daughter, Diane S. Biggers; sons, Roger D. McMerrick and Gary I. McMerrick; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oregon Wildlife Habitat Foundation.
