1947 - 2017
AUGUSTA - Ronald H. Hibbert, 70, of Riverside Drive, died unexpectedly on Dec. 31, 2017, at his home. He was born in Gardiner on Sept. 30, 1947, the son of Royal Hibbert and Dorothy (Dyer) Hibbert.
Ron was a graduate of Cony High School of Augusta in the class of 1965.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Lipman Poultry, Statler Tissue Co., Tree Free, and Pat Jackson Inc. Ron was a long time member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of Augusta.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister Derma Thompson and a brother George Hibbert. Surviving are his wife, Eileen (Gilley) Hibbert of Augusta; three daughters Stephanie McGuire and her husband Vincent, Heather Hibbert, and Jessica Boisvert and her husband Christopher, all of Augusta; one sister Mary Jane Hibbert of Madison,; three grandchildren Vincent, Gabriella, and Katrina; and a nephew Wayne Thompson.
Friends may visit from 1- 3 p.m., Saturday Jan, 6, 2018, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
