He was born in Bangor on Sept. 19, 1963, the son of Delmont and Shirley (Waddell) Spencer. Timothy graduated from East Corinth High School, class of 1984. He married the former Leanne Bessey in 1987.
Timothy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed mowing the lawn, cleaning his car, fishing and riding his bike. He also enjoyed his early morning coffee with his buddies at the Albion Corner Store and the Amulet Country Store in Albion.
He volunteered at the Unity Food Pantry, and enjoyed pouring coffee for the church suppers at the Benton Falls Congregational Church. His most enjoyable times were spent at home with his wife and fur babies, Collins and Schultz.
He was predeceased by his father, Delmont Spencer.
Timothy will be sadly missed by his wife of 24 years, Leanne Spencer of Albion; his mother, Shirley Purtell of Ohio; his mother-in-law, Carol Bessey of Waterville; his sister, Audrey Stubbs and her husband, Tom, of Corinth; his brothers, Del Spencer of the Dominican Republic, Carl Spencer of Portland, and Ottie Spencer of Bangor; his special nephews, Chad Wheeler of Hallowell, Corey Wheeler of Clinton, and CJ Spencer of Madison; his special niece, Sherry Stubbs of Corinth; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides on Three North at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Campus, who treated Timothy and were always kind, polite and willing to help in any way possible. Thanks also to the staff at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care who made his treatments bearable.
