Andrew R. Butch Carr Jr.
     SACO -- Andrew R. Butch Carr Jr., formerly of Westbrook, passed away from a brief illness on Tuesday Oct. 16, 2007, at Maine Medical Center.
     He was born in Skowhegan, on Sept. 23, 1950, the son of the late Andrew and Alice (Walton) Carr. Butch graduated from Portland High School after which he joined the U.S. Navy. He was also a member of Am vets. Butch enjoyed football, and routing for his favorite team the San Francisco 49ers, as well as baseball and horse racing and especially his granddaughter Lillee.
     He is survived by a son, Shawn Carr; and a daughter, April Carr, both of Westbrook. He also leaves four brothers, Michael Carr, Douglas Carr and his wife Rose, all of Westbrook, Dale Blaisdell and Richard Blaisdell, both of Connecticut; as well as his beloved former wife, Karen Carr; and his companion, Dorothy Benson and her daughter Kristyn of Saco; also several nieces and nephews.
     The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and physicians at Maine Medical Center SCU for all their care and compassion during his stay.

     Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, from 5 - 9 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 476 Summit St., Portland. Burial will follow in Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland.
