To all of the Harrington Clan -
The LaFayette Ave Dillons send our deepest sympathy for your loss. Although Dan was older than we were, he was always very nice to the neighbor kids. I'm sure that my sister Kathy has some fond memories when she used to spend the night with Gail. Our condolences to all.

Jamie, Julie, Sara, and Biffy-
I'll never forget your father's smile & charm. (And mustache!) You had the most welcoming house on a very welcoming block, surely a reflection of your folks' kindness.
I hope to see you again in better times.
sincerely,

Deepest Sympathy for your loss. I grew up next door to the Harrington Family on W Lafayette Ave and have nothing but fond memories of the whole family.

I grew up next door to the Harrington family. I have a fond memory of Dan that goes back to around 1960/61. With all the enthusiasm of a six yr. old boy, I was determined to catch a rabbit in the vacant woods behind the Harringtons. Dan could see that my attempt to lasso a rabbit with a rope and carrot would likely prove fruitless. Dan who was college aged at the time, suggested I place a cardboard box with an old towel in the bottom and a couple of carrots.

SURE ENOUGH! The next morning I had a rabbit. And … this one looked a lot nicer than the ones roaming the woods.

I named the rabbit Danny and for a time, I was resistant to those friends who insisted that Dan placed the rabbit in the box.

I like to think now that one man's heart connected with a hopeful boy way back when.

My sympathies to all of the Harrington family at this time of loss.
