Malachi McCarthy Obituary
BUXTON -- Malachi Harvey McCarthy, 21, of Chicopee Road, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
He was born in Portland, May 15, 1989, the son of Harvey and Julie Jones McCarthy. Malachi was a member of the Class of 2008 of Bonney Eagle High School. In the fall of 2008 he obtained his CDL license and had been working as a manager for Wendy's in South Portland.
At the time of his passing he was employed by Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland. Malachi was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Arvilla McCarthy. Survivors include his father, Harvey McCarthy, his mother and step-father, Julie and Jon Turcotte; brothers, David Clark, Jotham and Owen Walker, a sister, Amber Whynot; maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Jones; many aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, from 6-8 p.m., at the Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel, 76 State St., Gorham. A funeral service will be held at the chapel on Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Buxton. The family asks that visitors please dress casually.
