Joan Trotter Narrigan

Joan Trotter Narrigan, of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (formerly of Wayne, PA) passed away peacefully on August 9th, 2023, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years Robert Narrigan. Joan was passionate about giving back to her community and worked as a dedicated volunteer for over forty years at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She served on the Foundation Board, the Women's Board and was a long-standing member of the Gerhard Society. In addition, she spent summers in Avalon, NJ where she was a docent at the Wetlands Institute. Joan loved her time at the beach with her family and tending to her beautiful award-winning gardens alongside of her husband. She had quite the green thumb and passed her joy of gardening on to her children. Joan was very proud of her family heritage and enjoyed sharing stories of her ancestors. Mother of Stephen R. Narrigan and wife Susan, Julia N. Davis and Pamela N. Gougeon. Grandmother of nine grandchildren, Kathryn DeMarco (Stephen), Megan German (Paul), Sydney Gougeon, Heather Holden (Thomas), Jennifer Bricker (Scott), Amanda Owens, Dena Corrado (Stephen), Elaina Bottos (Nicholas), and Rosemary Carayol (Louis) and fourteen great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, August 24th at 11:00 AM at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 125 E Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. The service will live stream on the church website. The celebration of Joan's life will continue after the service with a luncheon in the chapel of the church.
