Tara O'Connor Obituary

Tara Suzanne O’Connor, formerly of Malvern Tara Suzanne (Bunker) O’Connor’s Life Celebration will take place this Saturday, April 25th at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Malvern with a 10:30 Memorial Mass. Immediately following, the family will be travelling for a private interment for Tara’s ashes. A celebration will continue for friends and family at The Lamb Tavern in Springfield (in The Porch Restaurant at this venue), which is prepared to receive guests at 1:00. We are looking forward to seeing all loved ones and friends on this day, her 43rd birthday. Tara, our warrior spirit, who fought valiantly against her cancer for a year, passed away in her Flagstaff home on November 14, 2014. Tara left a legacy of love, friendship and community throughout her 42 years. Tara was born and raised in Malvern. She was a graduate of Great Valley High School, a graduate of James Madison University in Virginia, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from University of Colorado in Boulder. Tara practiced as an immigration attorney for Piver Law in both Pennsylvania and Arizona. She served her clients with passion and integrity. Tara was an aspiring writer and an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, mountain biking and camping. Tara’s passion to embrace healthy living, sustainability, and local food consumption made her a model of personal responsibility to all who knew her. She was a deeply spiritual person and an active member of her church in Flagstaff. Tara’s greatest passion was for her husband and children. Tara is survived by her loving husband Thomas Morgan O’Connor, her sons Liam (age 4) and Quinn (age 1), her parents Jim and Sandi Bunker, her sisters Shannon Carloss and Krista McCraken, her husband’s parents Jim and Marcia O’Connor, and her husband’s siblings, Jim O’Connor, Erin McElwee, Leslie Frisina and Cindy Kulp. Those who knew Tara will miss her beautiful spirit and glowing smile. We hope you can join in her Life Celebration! In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to help support her children. I worked with Tara from 2005-6 at Piver Law. She was a great mentor and boss, who always set an example for her clients and co-workers with her excellence, dedication and kindness. She will be missed.
