Erik Hoover Obituary
MANSFIELD: Eric "Rik" H. Hoover, 49, of Mansfield, passed away Friday morning, September 23, 2016, at his home. He was born April 1, 1967, in Mansfield, Ohio, and was an area resident his entire life.
He graduated from Madison High School in the Class of 1985. A very talented, loving and caring man, he was devoted to his family and enjoyed all the times spent with them. A naturally gifted musician, he could play the keyboard, drums and guitar. He was also a great singer and many people will remember his bands, Osiris, Triple Threat, and the King Band.
Rik was a huge sports fan and especially enjoyed OSU football and NASCAR. He faithfully cheered on his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, every year.
Rik is survived by his wife of 21 years, Debra Baird Hoover; parents, Theodore and Nancy Wycoff Hoover; son, Eric Henry Hoover, Jr., of Mansfield; daughter, Krisna Ann Rowalt (James "Andy" Schrack) of Bucyrus; three grandchildren, Blayden Rowalt, Rylan Kline and Dallas Schrack; and two step grandchildren, James Schrack, Jr. and Kayla Schrack. He is also survived by three brothers, Michael (Mandy) Hoover, Gerald (Macheal) Hoover and Troy Hoover, all of Mansfield; two nieces; one nephew; a great-aunt, Ruby Jean Ridenour of Mansfield; and many other dear relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Geraldine Wycoff and Theodore Sr. and Ruby Hoover.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, October 3, 2016, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Wappner Cremation Center, 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family to assist with memorial costs.

I am so sad to hear of Rik's passing. My most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
I have many good memories of being entertained by Rik as he performed in his various bands. Also great memories of hanging out before and after shows. I miss those days and I will miss you Rik..
