CAASI CUTHBERT Obituary

Caasi Caroline Cuthbert Feb. 18, 1911June, 16, 2010 Our beloved sister and aunt, Caasi (Kay) Cuthbert, went to be with Jesus on June 16, 2010, in San Rafael, California. Kay Cuthbert leaves her brother, Alfred C. Cuthbert; and her nieces Lynne Jennings (George) of Santa Clara, Susanne Cuthbert of Gilroy, Jeanne Glasscock (Scott) of Denver, and Karen Januzik (John) of Santa Barbara; and nephew Michael Loeffler of Campbell. Kay was born in 1911, the only daughter of the late Isaac (Monty) and Kathryn Button of San Francisco. As a child, Kay spent her weekends and summers on a houseboat (arks) moored in Greenbrae. Later she graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco and began her career as a bookkeeper for Campagna Brothers, a wholesale poultry business in the old produce section of San Francisco. She was promoted to general office manager and worked there for 25 years. In 1940 she married Ernest Thomas Cuthbert of San Francisco. The couple moved to their home in Greenbrae in 1958, where Kay lived until her death. Kay became a member of the Fairfax Community Church in 1960, and has enjoyed participating in events there for many years. She was a dedicated sister, aunt, friend, and homemaker. Our family and faith community will miss her greatly. Our family wishes to thank Delmy Escobar for her loving care of Kay over the last three years. In celebration of Kay's life, there will be a memorial service at Fairfax Community Church Saturday, July 10, 11:00 AM with reception to follow. Kay's ashes were interred June 22, 2010 in the Button Family plot in Petaluma, CA. Donations may be made to Fairfax Community Church. Monte's Chapel Of The Hills San Anselmo 453-8440
