Gordon J. Rieger Jr.

Gordon J. Rieger, Jr. Passed away Thursday, August 6th after a hard-fought battle with cancer at the age of 62. Gordon had a beautiful spirit. He embraced life with a smile to the very end, surrounded by his family and dear friends. Gordon was the eldest of Gordon Sr. and Phyllis Rieger's five children. He is survived by his daughter Lauren Rieger and step-daughter Kaela Gibbons; his siblings Lawrence Rieger, Lynne Rieger, Lisa Jones and Kristen Decker; his half-siblings William Rieger and Phyllis Slossberg; his nieces and nephews Jennifer Gambill, Lindsay Jones, Kristen Stuhlmueller, Mara Kijanovic, Kevin Jones, Danilo Kijanovic, Anthony Rieger and Dustin Decker. Gordon was born in Washington, DC, the son of a career Army officer. Though he spent his youth residing on different military bases in the US and Germany, he found his home when he moved to Novato in 1984. He began a career in investments and became a managing partner of Paulson Investment Company. Gordon was fascinated with nature and geology, had a passion for traveling the world, and believed in living life on his own terms. Family and friends will gather for a celebration of Gordon's life at the Marin Yacht Club on Sunday, August 16th from noon to 4:00pm.
