Sally,
I remember all the great times we had at the Golden Gate Arabian Horse Shows together. Our Dads loved their airplanes and we loved our horses - Martinique+++ & Hombre+++ were the best and so was your Mom.

So sorry to hear about your Mom. I have been flooded (that word alone brings back a ton of memories) with memories of the "shows" we put on in your basement, riding our bikes down the easement at breakneck speeds, riding horses at "The Ranch", your Mom always nearby watching us and Joanie and her onion sandwiches. It has put a big smile on my face and helped ease my sadness in the passing of your Mom. I wish you all well and hope your memories comfort you too.

Dear Ann, Sally, Joanie and the entire Carson Family,

On behalf of the Gurley family, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all of you at this difficult time. Although it's been many years since we've seen each other, I will always have many fond memories of the time we spent together growing up on McAllister Avenue. Your parents were wonderful people, always welcoming the neighborhood kids into their home and they will always be remembered by the Gurley kids with deep affection.
Love,
Linda (Gurley) Millen for Mike Gurley, Lisa (Gurley) Gai and Judy (Gurley) Arbini

I had the distinct honor of knowing Joan Carson as both one of her students as well as one of her colleagues. She was "my" librarian (I think we all thought Mrs. Carson belonged to us!) at Greenbrae School. When I walked into her library, she asked me how I had enjoyed what I had read and always had a new book to recommend. I later had the opportunity to work with her at Bacich School, where she still had books to recommend to me, this time for my kindergarten students. I am grateful to have such fond memories of this lovely woman. To Sally and the rest of Joan's loved ones, please accept my heartfelt condolences.
