So sorry to hear of Steve's passing.
A true staple of the ILM/Kerner Optical community.
Always a joy to see Steve on the campus before, during, and after a long production day.
Thank you for the good times and memories.
You will be missed.
My sympathies go out to the Collins family.
R.I.P. buddy.

I knew Steve for many years when we worked at Lucasfilm. He we a good friend and we'll be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Another soul is in the wind
As from this world departs
The memories like dried leaves float
Within our minds and hearts
And that wind keeps blowing through the years
And never will it end
Sunset's tears have let us know
It's found another friend

Dear Eileen and Family, I am so sadden to hear of Steve's passing. "What a good guy, and friend". Steve was an usher in Lynn and my wedding back in 1972. I am sure it was him that wrote "HELP ME" on the bottom of my shoes so all could see as I knelt at the altar. Always a fun guy, and a great guy. "Baby" you will be missed.RIP.

I am very sadden by the passing of Stevie and wish I had been in more contact with him. Every time I worked or socialized with him it was always a great experience of fun and laughter. His big smile, personality and kindness will never be forgotten. My prayers are with Eileen, Erin and Kate for the loss of great husband, father, grandfather and friend. God Bless You Stevie.

Sorry on the family's loss. I also didn't know Mike passed until a week after as we don't see SF papers. I have known Steve, Mike, and Bill since 1961 as we all hung over at 19th Avenue With Sandy & Happy. I ran into Steve a few times in Marin and have had a nice conversation with him. He was a fine family man. My condolences.

Steve was married to my second cousin, Eileen. Although I crossed paths with Steve rarely (i.e., weddings and funerals), I always found him (and Eileen) to be very friendly. I am saddened to learn of Steve's passing and extend to Eileen, her daughters and their families my condolences. I wish them all well.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of Stevies passing. My condolences to the whole family. Steve was a consummate pro at making sure things and equipment where were they needed to be for the show to go on. He did it seemingly effortlessly and always was ready to have a laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him and the family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked for years with “Stevie” in the film business. We had so many wonderful times together. One of the most memorable was a Hams Beer commercial we did in Yosemite Back in the 70’s. We were sitting in my hotel room having a beer when we noticed a Raccoon watching us through the open front door. We decided to invite him in. We placed a trail of chips from the sidewalk into the back of the room, then hid behind the front door. Once the raccoon entered we slammed the door shut. BIG MISTAKE! The raccoon tore up the room like a drugged up rock band, there were coon footprints even on the ceiling. By the time it was over and I climbed down from the top of the door I found Stevie hanging from the bathtub curtain rod. We laughed for days and whenever he saw me he would call out, “Hey Raccoon Man.” He will be truly missed. RIP Stevie.
