Phyllis "Diana" Mahaffey

Phyllis "Diana" Mahaffey (nee Jones) passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the age of 84 at The Inn at Bear Trail in Lewis Center, Ohio. She was born January 20, 1937 in Marion, Ohio. 1955 graduate of Marion Harding High School, Marion, Ohio. Long time resident of Westerville, Ohio. Member of Central College Presbyterian Church. She was the secretary for AMC Theatres Westerville and the American Motorcycle Association formerly in Westerville. Past C.C.L. member; active with the Westerville South Music Boosters from 1977-1984. Diana is survived by daughter, Susan N. Mahaffey of Sunbury, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia A. and David E. Gotschall of South Charleston, Ohio; granddaughter, Hannah T.M. Gotschall of Westerville, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jim Anspaugh of Goodyear, Arizona; and stepbrother and sister-in-law, Steve and Carol Miller of Centennial, Colorado. Also survived by numerous friends and family. She is preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Wayne T. Mahaffey; parents, Leo Burdette Jones and Dorothy Jane McClure Jones Miller; stepfather, Perry E. Miller; along with numerous family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20th at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. Rev. David Redding officiating. Interment of the ashes at Blendon Central Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diana's name to The Inn at Bear Trail 8199 Monroe Drive, Lewis Center, Ohio.
