Glendolyn Moody Obituary

On May 22, this world lost an amazing soul and a beautiful, strong woman when Glendolyn Sue "Susie" Moody died unexpectedly in Cox South hospital at the age of 77. Those who had the privilege of knowing her know she was one of the most loving, caring, supportive, witty, independent, assertive, and stubborn women you might ever meet. Charlie and her family were the center of her world and she loved them fiercely. Susie was a junior high school teacher in Marshfield for most of her career and taught us all much more than just language arts. She had an incredible ability to teach the important things in life while always adding some patience, encouragement, and humor. Our family was blessed to have her, and she will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Jean Herd of Ava, and many beloved pets. She is survived by husband Charles Moody, son and daughter-in-law Jason Moody and Kristie Crawford, and daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Marshal Morrow. At her request, there will be no services. In her true teaching spirit, her body was donated to the University of Missouri so she could continue to teach others, even in her death. In lieu of services, she would want folks to live their best lives and raise a glass in her honor.
