Albert Davidson

Albert Davidson, 103, died April 11th, 2019 in Bluffton, SC. A Springfield native, Albert graduated from Massachusetts State College in 1938 with a degree in chemistry. He worked at the Springfield Armory as a metallurgist for 30 years. He was in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945 during WWII. Albert was predeceased by his first wife of 47 years, Alma (Feinberg) Davidson, in 1989, and by his second wife, Thada Cassady, in 2005. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Agnes Kaufman and Francis Cogan, and a brother, Charles Davidson. Albert is survived by his children, Gary (Joan) Davidson of Oak Park, CA, Carol (Dr Kenneth) Rosenberg of Bluffton, SC, and Dr. Jeff Davidson (Dr Janet Tamaren) of Denver, CO; his six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Baron of Longmeadow, MA. A private graveside service will be held. Contributions may be made to the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America, 1811 R Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009. The Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home is helping the family.
