CYNTHIANA — Connie Louise Hazeltine, age 91, of Bloomington, Ind., and formerly of Centerville, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at Bloomington Hospice House.
Born Oct. 19, 1933, in Mount Olivet, to Curt and Marie Mann Hedges, Connie lived in the Centerville area from 1968 until 2009, before moving to Bloomington to be closer to family.
She was a 1951 graduate of Deming High School in Mount Olivet.
Connie and her husband Paul, lived in El Paso for several years, and she worked at Car Parts Depot while she lived there.
After moving to this area, she went to work at Thrift Drug Company as a clerk and retired from there in 1996 after 25 years.
Connie enjoyed traveling and was usually traveling to visit family, or was traveling with her family on an adventure.
She was a member of Second Street Church of Christ in Bloomington, and while she lived in Richmond, she attended Union County Church of Christ in Liberty, Ind.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Debbie) Hazeltine and Becky (Ron) Maines; daughter-in-law, Jane Hazeltine; grandchildren, Mark (Christie) Hazeltine, Beth (Jay Frank) Hazeltine, and Matthew Hazeltine; great-grandchildren, Riley Hazeltine and Carter Hazeltine; best friend since 1963, Loretta Avey-Morgan; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Paul Joseph Hazeltine; son, retired Master Sergeant Steve Hazeltine; parents; and brother, Milton Hedges.
Connie's family would like to thank the staff of Bloomington Hospice House for the excellent care she was given.
Visitation for Connie Louise Hazeltine will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville.
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Mills Funeral Home.
Additional services will be held in Mount Olivet, on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m., with a visitation held prior from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m., all at Robertson County Funeral Home, 724 Sardis Rd., Mount Olivet, KY 41064.
Burial will follow in Piqua Cemetery in Mount Olivet.
