Allan Dempsey Obituary

Allan R. Dempsey, 77, of Allentown passed away Saturday December 12, 2015 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur and Martha W. (Snyder) Dempsey. Allan was the husband of Dolores E. (Rossi) Dempsey with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage this past August. He graduated from Temple University with an Associates Degree in Education and retired as a welding instructor at the Upper Bucks Vocational School. Allan served his country honorably in the Army. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Dolores; sons, Frank Novogratz of Allentown, Jeffrey Novogratz of Colorado, Timothy A. Dempsey and wife Marya of Harrisburg; brothers, Tom, Phillip and Joel Dempsey; sister, Gwen Burke; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Norwood and Richard and sisters, Laura and Patricia. Services: Noon on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc. 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. Viewing, 10:30am. Interment to follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Allentown. Contributions: In Allans name may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society- LV Office, 1525 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 180, Bethlehem,Pa. 18017
