Andrew J. Klimek, 94, of Easton, died on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. He was born in Maple Ridge, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Sophia (Congla) Klimek and step-father, Alex Parlock. He was the loving husband of Mary (Drabic) Klimek. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this past May 4. Andrew retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class after 30 years of service. During his military career, he served in WWII where he received a purple heart. After his retirement from the military, he worked for Ingersol Rand as a forklift operator for 15 years. Andrew was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; daughter, Regina V. wife of Tim Christman of Center Valley; brother, Paul Parlock and his wife, Colleen of Johnston, PA; sister, Helen Parlock of Alabama; grandsons, Jon and his wife, Amber, and Mark; and his three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ashley and Emily. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Joseph Klimek; and his sisters, Mary Klimek and Mary Parlock. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Holy Family Manor Chapel, 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem. Burial will be on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, in Annville, PA.
