Palmer retired from BB&T Bank as Senior Vice President and previously was a principal and Senior Vice President of Lehigh Valley Trust Company. He began his banking career as a Trust Business Development Officer at Girard Bank, now Mellon Bank in Philadelphia. Lois and family,

I am so very sorry to hear this. Palmer was a great man. He was one of the most dedicated and effective board members I have ever worked with. He truly cared about children, families, and this community, and that care translated into action through his volunteerism. His willingness to work hard and get things done, and his sense of humor, got us through innumerable challenges over the years. He positively influenced thousands of families through our mission and the missions of the other organizations he supported with his talent. He will be sorely missed.
