Donald G. Neiman
Donald G. (Nipper) Neiman, 76 years old, originally of Allentown and of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Loretta Jane (Neidig) Neiman. He was the son of Albert and Leola (Guth) Neiman. He graduated from Allentown High School in 1953. In 1956, he married the love of his life Loretta Jane. Throughout his life he was a mailman, milkman, butcher and pool service man. He worked a short time at the Bethlehem Steel. He was a firefighter for the City of Allentown for 28 years. He also served as a veteran of the US Navy Reserve. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses Belvidere Congregation, West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a member of the Mountainville Fire Company. Survivors: Daughters, Vickie, wife of Bob Roberts of Florida, Leslie of Florida, Yvette of Germansville; son, Jarrett, husband of Jaime Neiman of Coopersburg which Nipper resided with in PA; grandchildren, Corey, Nicolle, Ashley, Justin, Jade, step-grandchildren, Chris, Wendie, Jessica; siblings, Jackie, wife of Arthur Schmeck of Pottstown, Gary, husband of Sandy Neiman of Emmaus, Barbara, wife of Jacque Graver of Allentown. He was predeceased by a brother Albert and sister June. Services: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St. Allentown. My condolences to the brother, sisters, children and grandchildren of Donald. As an old east-sider I will remember 'Nippy' as a 'class act' with a calm demeanor about him. A hard worker comes to mind and a very good baseball player. Now at a better place. Proud to have known him.
