Edward J. Koch
Edward J. Koch, 79 years, of Fogelsville, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, in Allentown. Ed and his late wife Janet C. (Scherer) were married 50 years, when she passed away in 2004. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Harvey, Sr. and Marian (Henn) Koch. Ed was the General Manager for the former Mohr Orchards and Trexler Growers for 35 years and he was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Fogelsville. Survivors: Son, James D. and wife Connie of New Tripoli; daughter, Kim K. wife of Jonathan Snelling of Fogelsville; brothers, Harvey, Jr. and Leroy both of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Hunter, Kendall, and Jordan Snelling, Megan Kochl his puppy, Fred; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marian Betty Weil. Services: 2 p.m., Friday, January 28, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville with the Rev. MaryAnn Hamm officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment, Fogelsville Union Cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, c/o the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 52, Fogelsville, 18051.
