Edward Mickowski Obituary

Edward R. Mickowski, 70 years, of Allentown died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown. He was the long time companion of Marian Pavlick of Allentown, with whom he resided. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Zych) Mickowski. Edward co-owned the Arch Street Hotel in North Catasauqua with his companion, Marian. He worked in the rolling mills for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for over 36 years before retiring. He was a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post # 215 and the United Church of Christ Dart League. Edward served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors: He will be sadly missed by Marians family, Veronica Aiken, Kathleen Kurtz, Julia Weil, Timothy Pavlick; Marions grandchildren and great-grandson; and Edwards aunts and uncles. Services: Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com.

Ed was an amazing man. So generous and always on the go. He will be missed by his entire family. My brothers, cousins and myself will forever think of Ed as our grandfather. I will never forget his smart remarks and joking manor. Hair always in place and his sly smirk. We love you Ed.

Marian and family,
Worked, played ball, shot darts and shared good times with Eddie. Myself and fellow steelworkers will miss Ed. His name always came up at our yearly retirement parties. He was well like my his fellow workers....GOD BLESS..
