In the busyness of life, we so easily forget how quickly a day turns into a year and a year into a decade. As you look back on these past years, I hope that you found peace and solace in the memories you shared with Jeff and your children. I hope and pray that you are well. Fondly, Joann.

The last few days, I've been thinking a lot about the three Gerhard boys. It's so hard for me to believe because they were all taken too soon. My heart hurts for my Aunt Kathy and cousins as they endure this loss that we went through only a few years ago with my dad. My prayers are with them every single day.My Uncle Jeff always knew how to have fun and I will miss his funny one liners the most. Uncle Jeff was by my dads and families side during those last few months and also a big positive memory from my wedding. I am so glad I visited him in Cocoa Beach a few years back when he was there for treatment and got that little extra time with him. So many memories from Cape May and family parties I will forever cherish. All I can believe now is that the brothers are together with my Grandma Nan cheering them on as they play sports and enjoy some beers. RIP Uncle Jeff - you are and will always be so missed

Today was one of those days where I just kept thinking of Uncle Jeff, Uncle Skip and my dad. Today was a good day but all good things always remind me of the three of them. So I wanted to share that I was thinking of Uncle Jeff and always will be and share my thoughts from a few months ago that I keep thinking about today...

My heart just breaks for my Aunt Kathy and cousins in the loss of my Uncle Jeff. Most of my absolute favorite childhood memories are because of my Uncle Jeff and his family. From annual Cape May trips to parties in the Lehigh Valley, he was at the center of it all making it fun. Later in life when my dad passed away a few years ago, Uncle Jeff was there for me through and through. Driving in his truck from PA to NC to be there for us numerous times and helping us every step of the way. I am eternally grateful for his strength during that time. I remember walking down the stairs to head to my dads funeral not knowing how I was going to make it through the day and there at the bottom of the steps was my Uncle Jeff in his suit waiting for me...like he knew I needed him at that exact moment. His actions spoke so loudly of what a wonderful man he was. He always had your back and we all will be missing him so much.

Uncle Jeff...you were truly the best!

Jeff was definitely my partner in crime at many Matchbox Concerts and family affairs where we had a tendency to have a bit more fun than necessary! Never had to look any further than any of the Gerhard boys to find the life of the party!
Jeff so was my rock these past few years, from Ron's illness to Ron's passing to Lil's wedding and the crowded condo afterwards:
"Jeff, we only have the memory foam for you to sleep on."
Jeff: "I hope it remembers me!"
Jeff, you had the kindest, most caring and giving soul -- just like your big brothers if not more.
My one comfort is you will be near Ron in the church garden with your name on the plaque near his. My heart is broken but all the good times and crazy fun we had helps keep us all going here!
Love you, Bro.

Cherish those memories and hold them close to your heart and his legacy will continue within his children and grandchildren and for generations to come.
