John Klein Obituary

John (Jaws) Klein of Locust Grove, Virginia died while visiting longtime friends in Florida on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the age of 64. John was born in Allentown but grew up in Emmaus, Pennsylvania where he attended Emmaus High School and graduated in 1975. He worked at Kensol Airways, and the Pine Tree Tavern while in Emmaus, Lehigh-Lancaster Inc., in Lancaster, South Carolina, Green Spring Plant Co., and later was sole proprietor of Steam Master's carpet cleaning in Virginia.

John cherished the annual family gathering and shared vacation in Stone Harbor, NJ which was a tradition for more than 60 years and was often seen wearing his Stone Harbor t-shirt. He was known for his green-thumb that was second to none (except his mother's) and tended to his plants like his kids. John enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and was always up for a great late night conversation; his door was always open to all. In his younger days, he loved the adventure of spelunking at Schofer's Cave outside of Kutztown, Pennsylvania and shared that experience with many friends and family.

He is survived by his sons Josh Klein and Danny Klein, his daughter Jessica Klein-Lauser (Rob), grandson Aiden (A.J.) Klein, mother Marie O. (Sally) Klein, sister Linda Ciotti, brothers Tom Klein (Tricia Boland), Jim Klein (Patti), nephews Nick Ciotti (Robin), Jason Klein, Sean Klein, Ryan Klein (Anya) and niece Erin Klein. He was predeceased by his father Joseph C. Klein.

I will always remember John telling me the "dog story". (what I can remember about it) John seemed to always keep his sister, Linda, on edge. I'm sure it was because she loved and cared for him so much. I knew John to be a great fun loving guy. He will surely be missed.
