John Paul LeCompte Sr.

John Paul LeCompte, Sr., 69, of Allentown, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Heltzel) LeCompte for over 43 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Kline) LeCompte. He was a 1967 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and a 1972 graduate of Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. John worked in sales for over 40 years in the packaging, janitorial and restaurant supply industry for various companies. After he retired, he worked part time representing McCormick & Co., Inc. at Wegmans in Nazareth where he was affectionately referred to as "the spice man". He had a devoted group of childhood friends who met monthly at Zotos Diner in Lansdale and gathered yearly in Ocean City, New Jersey for March Madness. There is nothing he cherished more than his family, especially spending time together at the Jersey Shore in Avalon. John's gentle kindness and quick wit will be missed by all.
