Larry Wanamaker Obituary

Larry E. Wanamaker, age 76, husband of Bobbie (Hartranft) of Bally, PA, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Born on May 5, 1945 in Kutztown, PA, he was the son of the late Angelina (Dreibelbis) and Elwood Wanamaker.

After graduating from high school, Larry attended Penn State University. He worked as a designer, pre-engineering buildings. During his time he ran his own business, American Building and Contracting. Growing up, Larry was part of his high school's Rifle Club. As an adult, he was an active member of the Corner Club in Emmaus, PA, and Bally Lions Club in Bally, PA. He was also a Ski Patrolman. Larry was a collector of beer steins.

Larry was survived by his wife, Bobbie; his sister, Louise Schmehl; niece, Lori Hall; nephew, Tim Schmehl; and other various nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.lwottfuneralhome.com for the Wanamaker family.

I knew Larry from the Lab School all the way through graduation and was always happy to see him at reunions. His mother and my mother knew each other years before that. He was a good guy. Sending sympathy to you.

I was so sad to see that Larry passed. I always looked forward to seeing him at HS reunions. Sympathy to his family.
