Lawrence Dries Obituary

Dries, Lawrence T.Lawrence T. Dries, 63, passed away September 8, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Elizabeth (Hodges) Master and the late Elmer D. Dries. He was the husband of the late Cynthia A. (Beitler) Dries. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. He retired from Lower Macungie Twp. as a public works employee from 2004-2013. He was previously employed as a mechanic at Becker Subaru and was a mason with his father's business, E.D. Dries & Son. He was a member of the Macungie VFW, Teamsters Local 773 and a volunteer fireman at the Wescosville Fire Department. Survivors: Mother; Siblings, Wayne F. Dries (Kathy) of Emmaus, Eileen M. Maynard (David) of Reading and Doreen L. Legg (Raymond) of Allentown. Services: 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 17th, 2014 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A calling hour will take place 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment to follow at Bethany United Methodist Cemetery, East Texas. Contributions: Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

We were sad to hear of Larry's passing. We worked with him back in the 70's at the King George Inn also Shari(Snyder) went to high school with Wayne and Larry. Larry was always a pleasure to be around. Our thoughts are with the family.

Larry was a good friend and neighbor.
If I needed help or use of his equipment, he was always there.He would check my property & call if there was a problem.
