Loretta Check Obituary

Loretta J. Check, 75, of Bethlehem passed away April 27, 2018 in her home. She was the wife of Stephen F. Check. They were married 54 years. Born in Stroudsburg she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elsie (Tucker) Repsher. Loretta was a 1961 graduate of Liberty High School. She enjoyed going out to eat, bowling at Boulevard Lanes and playing cards with friends. She especially enjoyed the annual vacation to Ocean City, NJ with extended family and friends from all over the U.S. Loretta's greatest joy in life came from her close relationship with her daughter Stephanie, and granddaughters, Riley and Reese. Survivors: Husband, Stephen, Daughter, Stephanie wife of Justin McKinnon of Bethlehem, granddaughters Riley and Reese McKinnon and her "boys" (grand puppies) Barley and Oliver. Graveside Services; 11:00am Thursday May 3rd at Northampton Memorial Shrine Easton, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be to American Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice. So many memories of growing up next door to Loretta. Going swimming at the pool, ice skating at the bottom of the hill, endless hours at the store and then going right home and talking on the phone. We talked again last week. I will miss those phone calls. She was my best friend.
