Louise C. Hunt

Louise C. (Weez)  Hunt, 86, of Bethlehem, formerly of Wind Gap, passed away Friday November 4, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus.   She was the wife of Albert O. Hunt; they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 18, 2021. 

Born in Pen Argyl on October 19th, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Clara (Bosco) Zanette. 

She was a 1950 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and attended Churchman's Business College and Empire Beauty School of Easton. She was the Look-Out Fire Company Beauty Queen in 1954.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem and formerly a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Pen Argyl.  

Weez, the moniker her family and friends bestowed upon her, yet she is best described by the moniker Tender Heart.  Her heart was big and her love deep. She showed her love in many ways, and it came from her hands in the form of a stylist, a seamstress, and a cook and an entertainer.

Starting as a stylist for Giselle DiMassi BeautySalon in Easton, she owned and operated Louise's Beauty Salon in Pen Argyl. Bellezza, her french poodle, was always there with her.  

Always dedicated to her family she helped manage several family owned blouse mills:  Le Mar Fashions and Nova Sportswear.  Best kept secret:  if you had a stain in any type of fabric "Weez could get it out".  She also knitted and distributed Blue Scarves for Child Advocacy Center Lehigh County.  

From family gatherings to birthday celebrations, to holidays and many times for no particular reason, Louise enjoyed bringing the family together.  She and she alone did all the cooking, baking and entertaining for her family. Attention to detail was her specialty.  No detail was too small.

She and Al loved to travel with Carla and Teddy (her sister and brother in law).  They traveled extensively across Europe and the United States. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Larry A. Hunt and his wife June of Quakertown, Maria L. Hunt of Bethlehem and John A. Hunt and his wife Erin of Pen Argyl, four grandchildren, Ryan A. Hunt, Connor O. Hunt, McKenna E. Klinger and Cole A. Hunt, a sister, Carla M. Albanese of Bethlehem, nieces and nephew Licia M Grim and husband Mark, Marc A. Albanse and his wife MaryLee, Paula R. Albanese, and 7 great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be a viewing beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM, Saturday at the church.  Entombment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.  The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
