Remberd F. "Rem" Lederer Sr.

Remberd (Rem) F. Lederer, Sr., 70, of Macungie, passed away on February 7, 2022 with family by his side at home. He was the husband of Elizabeth Anne Oleksa. Rem worked for the family business in his early years at Remita Rug Service in Allentown. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Remberd and Rita C. (Veet) Lederer. Rem was a 1969 graduate of William Allen High School in Allentown, PA. Rem was a wrestler in school and was named Allentown City Champ. Rem's love of music was apparent throughout his whole life and overflowed into every relationship. He had a passion for peace, love, and kindness, which was a driving force for how he lived his life. His interest in bowling was shared with his children and grandson. Rem also had a love for baking, creating desserts and cooking, hence the nickname "Chef Remeril" was born. He was always so full of life when he talked about his pride for gardening. Recently, he was an active member of "The Lehigh Valley Council of the Blind".

Survivors: Wife, Daughter: Amber Lee Lederer-Rohrbach of New Tripoli, Sons: Levi Lederer of Allentown, Remberd F. Lederer, Jr. of Easton, Stanton Lederer of Macungie and Logan Oleksa of Macungie, Brothers: Omar Lederer of Las Vegas, NV and Dwight "Ike" Lederer of Macungie, Sister: Rita Fenstermaker of Macungie, 2 grandsons and his dog: Bryce Krispie. He was preceded in death by a brother: Frank Lederer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 12th 2022 from 1-4pm at the Hills at Lockridge Community Center, 7125 Scenic View Drive in Macungie, PA 18062.
