Richard Piger Sr.

1929 - 2016

Richard E. Piger, Sr., 87 years, of Breinigsville, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Twp. He was the widower of Anna (Roth) Piger. Born in Hynemansville, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Drescher) Piger. As a young man Dick worked as a farmer in Breinigsville. Starting in 1964, he was a car salesman for the former Ed Neuman Chevrolet, Boody Chevrolet, Knopf Pontiac, and Becker Subaru, retiring at the age of 80 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fogelsville. Prior to that he was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Krumsville where he had served as a Deacon for many years. Dick was a member of Lehigh Lodge No. 326 F&AM, Lehigh Consistory and the Mercantile Club. Survivors: Loving companion, Anna Moyer whom he loved unconditionally; Sons, Richard E., Jr. and his wife Pamela, Dean E. and his wife Deborah; and his extended loving family Daughters, Debra Moyer, Diane Moyer and Todd and Daphne wife of Eric Feinour; Grandchildren, Kristi and husband Courey, Rick, Kati, Natalie, Maria. His extended loving grandchildren Chris, Kyle, Brad, Katie, Mary and William; 9 extended family Great-grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by Brothers, Edward, Emmil, Ervin and Ernest; Sister, Katherine Wessner and Granddaughter Krista Piger. Services: Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 27, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville with the Rev. Nelson Quiñones officiating.
