The moment of silence at Friday's game was very moving - well deserved tributes for a life of service and dedication to her community. I'm sure she's smiling.

I can remember calling weekly from Delaware when I was seeking a job in the area. Sometimes I was fortunate to by-pass the receptionist and occasionally get to speak with the "boss" Sylvia. She was always so cordial to me in my weekly check ins---and when a position finally opened--- she was one of the first to share with me. While she could "pretend" to have this tough exterior---she did truly care about Northwestern and I just loved when I could get her to smile. I am just so saddened to hear this news. May the family carry all the special memories in your hearts forever.

Sylvia was such a vibrant woman! As a dedicated volunteer to our community, she was able to touch and enrich the lives of so many. I will smile and remember her whenever I see the UPS truck go by on Ontelaunee Rd. Our sincere sympathy goes to the hearts of her family and friends who were so lucky to have been a part of her life. Sherry, Kyle, Sawyer and family and friends of Sylvia. Steve and I were saddened and shocked to hear of Sylvia's passing. She was well liked and respected by her family, friends and our community.
