Thomas Schmoyer Obituary
Thomas S. Schmoyer, 81, of Emmaus, passed away Friday in Mosser Nursing Home. He was the husband of Viola B. (Hilbert) Schmoyer. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Schaeffer) Schmoyer. He was a mechanic for various auto dealers until retiring. He served in the Seabees during the Korean War and was a member of Catholic War Veterans Post 1067 of Emmaus. He was a volunteer fire fighter and life member of Emmaus Fire Co. #1 and also was a member of Citizens Fire Co. # 2 in Emmaus. Survivors: Surviving with Viola are sons, Randall J. Schmoyer and his wife, Susan, of Alburtis, and Clarence F. Schmoyer and his wife, Karen, of Slatington; daughter, Tina M. Schmoyer of Emmaus, and her fiance, David B. Hemphill; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Schmoyer; and by grandchildren, Lori Hoch and Andrew Bailey. Services: 11 a.m., Tuesday, in Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. www.schmoyerfuneralhome.com.
