Timothy Roper Obituary
Timothy R. Roper, 45, of Pen Argyl, PA, passed away Monday, August 13, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Born July 12, 1967, in Fountain Hill, PA, a son of Jean M. (Smickley) and Russell Russ H. Roper, of Wind Gap, PA. He and his wife Erika Stofflet, observed their 19th wedding anniversary this month. He was employed as an electrical engineer and product development manager at Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. in Coopersburg, PA. Survivors: In addition to his parents, Russ and Jean and his wife Erika, Tim is survived by a daughter, Mikaela Roper; a son, Michael Roper; two sisters, Cathy Snow and her husband Perry, Alison Overdorf and her husband, David; a brother, Craig Roper and his wife Connie; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Stofflet; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: Will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, August 18, in the Grace United Methodist Church, 404 E. Mountain Ave., Pen Argyl, PA. Call Friday 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, PA. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roper Childrens College Fund, c/o the funeral home, 200 S. Robinson Ave., Pen Argyl, PA 18072 or MMRF, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 388 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.

Tim will remain in my fondest memories forever, I would look forward to visiting my grand parents every summer so I could play Nerf baseball at Tim's house. Years later I found out we were were cousins at a reunion. I'm sorry for your loss he touched many in his life!

He approached his fight with cancer the same way he would attack on the basketball court, with everything he had.
