Jon Kevin Briggs, 64, of Beallsville, Ohio (formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio) passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at his home.
He was born at Bellaire, OH on October 5, 1961 a son of the late Charles Edward Briggs Sr. and Geneva Peek Briggs.
Jon was a retired foundry worker, where he was former president of the Union. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robin E. Spurlock Briggs on July 14, 2019; a sister, Patricia Goding and his dog, Buddy.
Surviving are one daughter, Athena Rhea Briggs; two sons, John Kevin Briggs Jr., Chris Briggs; two sisters, Janet Rinkes, Kim Schilling; one brother, Chuck Briggs and several grandchildren.
Abiding by Jon's wishes a cremation will take place with inurnment at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
